DRAWING DAY DESIGN CHALLENGE!

The challenge

Drawing Day is a worldwide drawing event that encourages everyone to drop everything and draw for the sake of art and creativity. The aim is to get artists across the interweb to create and upload 1 million drawings within 24 hours. Drawing Day 2011 falls on Saturday the 4th of June. RedBubble artists have always been great supporters of Drawing Day and this year the organizers are offering you the chance to create a Drawing Day design that will appear on Drawing Day merchandise. Judging / Voting Criteria

The entries will be shortlisted by the community through the voting process. The final three winners will be selected from the top 20 by RedBubble and the Drawing Day organizers. RedBubble and Drawing Day will select final winners at their sole discretion. The official logo is available for inspiration but you are not required to reference this in your design. Designs must be uploaded using the RedBubble t-shirt template and the preview should be set to a white background. If it’s not on a white tee, it’s not getting in!

Rewards and Prizes

First, Second and Third Prize: Your design will appear on Drawing Day 2011 merchandise and you will each receive a $100 USD RedBubble gift voucher. The fourth and Fifth runners-up will each receive A $50 USD RedBubble voucher.

Additional Information

By entering this challenge you grant permission for your design to be used on Drawing Day merchandise which will be sold via RedBubble, and for use in images used to promote this merchandise. Drawing Day will credit the winning artists in the description of the works with a link back to your RedBubble profile. Artist commissions from the sale of Drawing Day merchandise will go towards promotional efforts to help spread the word about Drawing Day and to encourage more artists to get involved.

Artists retain full ownership and copyright of images entered into the challenge. Winning artists will be required to hide the designs and not offer them for sale on their own portfolio until after Drawing Day (June 4 2011). Designs will remain for sale via the Drawing Day profile until 1 September 2011.

All entrants into the challenge agree to be bound by the Official Rules. You may only submit one image. Entrants must have clear copyright ownership or permission to use any images utilized in their final submission. Any images that do not meet the above criteria will be removed.
