This fun and colorful Christmas cards collection brings together a few illustrations that show how the Portuguese Rooster, or Barcelos rooster, celebrates Christmas. He starts by traveling to the outskirts of the city where he lives to look for a pine tree. Then he rides back home in his car with the pine tree on top. Then he gathers the decorations, ornaments, and lights, decorating the pine tree and the house, inside and out. The Rooster goes shopping for Christmas gifts at the local shops, delivers presents,  sends Happy Holidays cards to family and friends, cooks traditional sweet desserts for Christmas Eve, and proudly shows off a King Cake. The last thing he does is put the presents under the tree. Finally, the Portuguese Rooster goes up to the roof of his house and exchanges gifts with Santa Claus. Santa got him a codfish, a much-beloved fis of the Portuguese! The two end up spending New Year's Eve together partying in the street, in Lisbon, drinking champagne and surrounded by fireworks. Each illustration tells a little Christmas story. It was really fun to draw these cards, I hope you like it.
