Contest - What does peace in Europe mean to you?

Rules of the contest “Peace, Europe, Future: what does Peace in Europe mean to you?”

Article 1 – On the occasion of the award of the Nobel Peace Prize to the European Union (EU), the European Council, together with the European Commission and the European Parliament, and in partnership with the European Youth Forum, launches a drawing contest and a tweet contest on the theme: “Peace, Europe, Future: what does Peace in Europe mean to you?”.

Article 2 - This contest is open to children of the 8-12 years age group (Group 1), teenagers of the 13-17 years age group (Group 2) and young adults of the 18-24 age group (Group 3) who are nationals of an EU country, an acceding country or candidate country to the EU

Article 3 – The participants of group 1 are invited to create a drawing or an image (including through computer software) on the contest's theme, with a caption if necessary. The format of drawing or of the image produced should not exceed A4 size. The caption should not exceed 300 characters. For time constraints reasons, original drawings are to be kept by participants and submission of a proposition is to be done through a picture of the drawing (or any equivalent in electronic format), via the online platform for participation (www.peaceuropefuture.eu). Only the winner will have to send in his/her original drawing.

Read all about it at http://www.facebook.com/PeaceEuropeFuture

Note: The contest is open to all Europeans from 13 to 25 November 2012. You can enter in three categories: 8-12, 13-17 and 18-24. An independent jury will choose a winner from each category, and there will be a 4th winner chosen by the public on Facebook.

Keep calm and carry on - the famous UK poster story!

Ever wanted to know about the The Keep Calm and Carry on poster story?

Well, keep calm and read all about it!

Keep Calm and Carry On was the third in a series of World War 2 posters drawn up by the UK Ministry of Information in order to boost the morale of the British people by passing on a message from King George VI. The posters were a stark white text on a red background, with the only image on the poster being the royal crown of George VI.

Create your own and save it on THE KEEP-CALM-O-MATIC!

Zazzlers, let's do #FollowFriday thing!

Hello Zazzlers and Friends!

One of these days a fellow Zazzler wasn't aware of what the #FollowFriday is about. I scheduled a post about it on my mind. Today is Friday, so it's a good day to write about the FollowFriday thing!

I don't know when it started and how it started. I really can't say but I've been getting #followfriday or #FF for a long time. The first time I did, I did not know what it meant. I noticed that short list of @name and #followfriday in the tweet and did not know what to do it!! Every Friday I seem to forget that I can join the game and suggest my followers who to follow on Twitter.

But what does it means? By suggesting others who to follow on Twitter I am recognizing those persons as good connections. It means I value those persons for something specific. That might happen because that group gives away good tweets, or because they have a nice Zazzle store or a nice blog I want you to discover. Usually, the group should have something in common. So instead of searching for people interested in the same topics as myself I just have to check for those suggestions from Zazzlers. At least that's how I see #FF thing.

There are really no rules to FollowFriday except the hashtag #Followfriday. You can suggest as many Zazzlers you like or just suggest a few. What happens then? You may increase your Follower count and build your network of contacts for your business or just the number of Zazzlers you know. Of course, you may get some angry followers also - but people let's be reasonable, we can't share all our favorites in one FollowFriday! Fortunately, we have more than one Friday in the year to do it!

So ready to join the #FF game? It's easy! Just think of a couple of people you enjoy following, and that you think I should too. Come on!

Any ideas for iPhone 5 Cases anyone?

Birthday Invitation Product Review - it's good to now!

"I recently ordered a birthday invitation for my son's 5th birthday party. It was an invitation that includes my son's photo. It was SO easy to order, a very fair price, and I couldn't believe how fast it arrived - especially considering the personalization and photo included in it! Zazzle exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely be ordering from them again in the future!!"
